A team at Swansea University developed digital tools to spot common communication tactics used in online grooming, so that child protection professionals can shield children from it sooner.
The brief to Sleeping Giant Studio was to create an animation that could highlight the potential impact of these tools to child protection NGOs, policy makers and law enforcement agencies.
The process involved five volunteers with personal experience of online grooming, and the end result gave them a platform to share their lived experiences and advice to people who can support others.

This animation was presented in Westminster by members of the Welsh Government in 2022.
